Starting April 1, four bus line operations in the northwest of Rome will be taken over by our Italian subsidiary Cilia Italia, in partnership with MICCOLIS S.P.A. | BUSMICCOLIS, one of Italy’s leading private bus operators.
Awarded by Atac SpA, Rome’s public transport COMPANY, this three-year contract marks a new chapter in our commitment to improving mobility in the Latium Region by developing public transport in the Capital.
The contract covers over 1 million kilometers of service each year. Operations will begin with a fleet of 18 buses, which will be replaced by 23 new hybrid vehicles in January 2026. The network will also benefit from RATP Dev’s expertise and digital tools to support day-to-day operations.
Alongside service improvements, the contract will generate 46 driver positions, with a strong emphasis on gender equality during the recruitment phase.
This is Cilia Italia’s first contract within the city of Rome, building on its presence across the Latium region, Rome Capital and Vatican City, where the company already serves 2 million passengers annually through a range of services, from school transport and university shuttles to tourist routes in the Vatican Gardens.
